Sculpted orthoceras
Orthoceras are fossilized animals over 300 million years old, and are similar to squid. When they find a special specimen for its size or shape in the marble veins, the craftsmen sculpt it giving way to elegant sculptures. In those, one can observe the chambers these animals were using for their flotability.
