Beni Ouarain is a region in the north east of the Moroccan Atlas Mountain range, inhabited by more than a dozen Berber tribes who herd animals in the harsh climate. These rugs form part of the tribes´ traditional artisan work.

Rugs from this region are characterized by their softness and the raw colour of their wool, their archaic tribal designs and their sponge-like texture under foot. Anyone who steps with bare feet on one of these rugs will recognize such a sensation. The designs are done with wool of a different colour (usually black), without dyes. The rugs are widely recognized in the décor and design world for their quality, their slightly bold design and vintage character. 

These factors combined make each rug a unique, quality piece.
